Villa Morghen is located in Florence on the Settignano hill, in a peaceful area, far from confusion,
but with easy access to the center of the city (Cathedral,
Uffizi Gallery, the Ponte Vecchio, the train station of
Santa Maria Novella, The Convention Center) in only 20
minutes using the convenient public transportation (bus
number 10).
The bus stop is only 300 meters from the Villa.
Furthermore the strategic position of the villa on the
Florentine hills allow easy access within 60 km, the most
important cities of art in Tuscany (Siena, Arezzo, Pisa,
Lucca, Cortona, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montepulciano)
besides the unequalled Tuscan landscapes like Chianti,
Casentino and Valdarno. |
How to reach Villa Morghen:
By car: exit A1 Firenze Sud, take the beltway of Varlungo
to the traffic light that leads to the street going
towards the center of the city. Turn left in Via Enrico
De Nicola, at the first traffic circle turn right and
continue straight ahead passing a traffic light. Go
under the underpass and continue on the Via del Gignoro,
then turn left in Viale Giovanni Verga. Take a right
in Viale Gabriele D’Annunzio. You will pass a
villa with walls and turn left in Via dei Ceci. Take
this street until you will find right in front of you
a gate of the complex (ex-monastery) that houses the
Villa Morghen. (From the exit of Firenze Sud –
about 10 minutes)
By Train – from the train station
Santa Maria Novella take ATAF bus number 10. Get off
at the end of the line in Settignano in Piazza Tommaseo
and go directly into the Piazza Desiderio where you
will take the Via Feliceto until you find the gate of
the complex Villa Morghen (about 300 meters)
From the Florence Airport –
By taxi (about 30 minutes) or take a taxi to the train
station and from there take public ATAF bus number 10.
Villa Morghen is connected to the
historic center of Florence and the train station by
public transportation.
ATAF bus number 10 and number
67 (nighttime) every 20 minutes, up until 2:00am and
24 hour.
